OFFICE SAFETY UPDATE

COVID-19 Announcement

Masks are still required to be worn by anyone coming into the office. This is to assist us in protecting those patients who are immunocompromised, and our doctor, who herself is compromised.

The concerns of social distancing and control of the pandemic have forced our office to adapt the way in which we care for our patients.  In the recent weeks we have shifted most of our patients to a virtual/phone visit platform. We believe that our ability to resume seeing patients in the office will continue to evolve in the coming weeks depending on our patient’s comfort in coming to the office, symptoms, specific needs, and the prevalence of infection in the community.  As we continue to bring patients back into our office, we will make every effort to do so in a way that protects our staff as well as our patients. As a part of our priority of safety, we will be asking all patients standard survey screening questions as recommended by the CDC to determine the safety of in-office visits.

Some of the information we will be asking you for may include if you have had any of the following symptoms in the last 7 days:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • New or worsening shortness of breath
  • Chills
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Muscle pain
  • New loss of taste or smell

If you have had any of these symptoms or uncontrolled cough, please notify our office before your appointment time and we will convert your visit to a virtual/phone visit or reschedule for a later time.

And finally, for anyone that is not yet comfortable returning to a medical office for assessment, we will continue to offer virtual visits by phone.  We will continue to provide best care practices regardless of if you are seen face-to-face or phone visits.

We are acting in accordance with all hospital and healthcare facilities statewide to limit the spread of COVID-19. Our patients and staff are our top priority. Thank you for helping to keep us healthy so we can continue to care for you.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Dr. T
